Kintex Plumbing Website: https://www.kintexplumbing.com

Effective date: 01.01.2026 Last updated: 01.01.2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Kintex Plumbing (“Kintex Plumbing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit https://www.kintexplumbing.com (the “Site”) or interact with us through the Site, including through our virtual assistant chatbot.

Our business name, mailing address, and phone number are listed in the footer of every page of the Site. You can also reach us using the contact details in Section 16 for any question about this Policy or about your personal information.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to information we collect through the Site. It does not apply to:

  • Information you provide directly to us by phone, in person, or during an on-site service visit, which is handled in accordance with our ordinary business practices; or
  • Any third-party website you reach through a link on our Site, including the financing provider described in Section 7. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.

The Site is intended for residents of, and customers located in, Texas.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide to us

We collect information you choose to give us, including when you:

  • Use our virtual assistant chatbot to request service or a quote. This may include your name, street address or service location, phone number, email address, and a description of the plumbing issue you would like us to address. See Section 4 for details.
  • Leave a comment on the Site (if commenting is enabled). When you submit a comment, we collect the information shown in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user-agent string to assist with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; the Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After a comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.

Providing information through the chatbot or a comment form is voluntary, but some features (such as requesting a quote) will not work without it.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type and settings, device and operating system information, referring pages, and how you navigate and interact with the Site. See Sections 5 and 6 for details on cookies and analytics.

3.3 Media and uploaded images

If images are uploaded to the Site, visitors who download those images may be able to extract any embedded location data (EXIF GPS) contained in them. Anyone uploading images to the Site should avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data.

4. Our Virtual Assistant (Chatbot)

The Site offers an AI-powered virtual assistant that operates using predefined, scripted responses. It serves two purposes:

  1. Answering common questions — for example, our business hours, service area, and the services we offer; and
  2. Collecting service inquiries — if you ask us to help with a plumbing problem, the assistant will offer to collect your name, service address, phone number, email address, and a description of the issue so that a member of our team can follow up with you.

Any information you enter into the chatbot is transmitted to us, and to the service providers that host and operate the chatbot on our behalf, solely so that we can respond to your inquiry, provide a quote, or schedule service. The chatbot does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Please do not enter sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers or government identifiers) into the chatbot; it is not required and should not be shared there.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used.

  • Comment cookies. If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies so you do not have to re-enter them for future comments. These cookies last for one year.
  • Login and session cookies (administrators). If an authorized user visits the login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine whether the browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is discarded when the browser is closed. When an authorized user logs in, additional cookies save login information and screen-display choices (login cookies last two days, screen-option cookies one year, and a “Remember Me” selection extends login persistence to two weeks); logging out removes the login cookies. Editing or publishing an article stores an additional cookie indicating the post ID of the edited article, which expires after one day.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies. We use cookies set by Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure Site usage and support advertising, as described in Section 6.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of analytics and advertising cookies as described in Section 6. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site functions.

6. Google Analytics and Google Ads

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site, and Google Ads (including remarketing) to promote our services and measure advertising performance. These tools use cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, and your interactions with the Site. This information helps us and Google display relevant ads and evaluate their effectiveness.

Google’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can control or opt out of this collection in the following ways:

  • Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • Google Ads personalization settings: https://adssettings.google.com

Please also see Section 13 regarding your right to opt out of targeted advertising.

7. Third-Party Links and Financing Partner

The Site provides a link to an independent, third-party financial institution that may offer financing for plumbing projects. If you choose to apply for financing, you will leave our Site and interact directly with that provider. Any information you submit as part of a financing application is collected and controlled by the financing provider, not by Kintex Plumbing, and is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy and terms. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices or content of that provider or any other third-party site linked from ours. We encourage you to review the financing provider’s privacy policy before submitting any information.

8. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Pages on this Site may include embedded content (for example, videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with it if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

9. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and requests submitted through the chatbot or otherwise;
  • Prepare and provide quotes and estimates, and schedule and perform plumbing services;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Measure and improve our marketing and advertising, including through Google Analytics and Google Ads;
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; and
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms, or otherwise protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

10. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the advertising activities described in Section 6, for which you may opt out.

We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. With vendors that perform services on our behalf — such as our website hosting provider, the chatbot service provider, and Google (for analytics and advertising) — who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Financing provider. Only if you choose to apply for financing, in which case your information is provided to that third party by you, as described in Section 7.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, our customers, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

If you request a password reset for an account on the Site (if any), your IP address will be included in the reset email.

11. How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Chatbot and service inquiries. We retain the information you submit through the chatbot for as long as needed to respond to your request and, where you become a customer, for the duration of our relationship plus a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and legitimate business needs.
  • Comments. If commenting is enabled and you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained for as long as the comment remains published or until you request its deletion, so that we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
  • Registered users (if any). For users who register on the Site, we store the personal information provided in the user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username), and administrators can also see and edit that information.
  • Analytics data. Retained in accordance with Google’s data-retention settings and policies.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You share information with us at your own risk, and we encourage you not to submit sensitive information through the Site or the chatbot.

13. Your Privacy Rights (Texas Residents)

Subject to applicable law and to verification of your identity, Texas residents may request to:

  • Access the personal data we process about you;
  • Correct inaccuracies in that data;
  • Delete personal data we hold about you;
  • Obtain a copy of the personal data you provided to us in a portable format; and
  • Opt out of (i) targeted advertising, (ii) any sale of personal data, and (iii) profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. To opt out of the advertising activities described in Section 6, you may use the Google opt-out tools listed there.

Deletion and access requests do not extend to information we are permitted or required to keep for administrative, legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

How to submit a request. Contact us using the details in Section 16. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Appeals. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by contacting us again at the same address within a reasonable period; we will inform you in writing of our decision and the reasons for it. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Office of the Texas Attorney General at https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection to submit a complaint.

14. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the current version on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy.
